BIOGRAPHY

After time at medical college, Martin worked variously as a labourer, showman, pancake chef, fire technician, train engineer, signal engineer and control system engineer.

Living in Lambeth, his writing explores life on the limits of survival in a place where some people are just hanging on, where a vision of paradise can be a place to stay for a night, a change of identity or a wall of lager cans, and the vision can last forever or vanish in a moment of rage.

He writes about the working world of the disenfranchised, the night workers, and those who have started to believe their own myths.

His novel ‘A Place of Safety’ is published on June 15th 201
